The TIOBE Programming Community index is a rough indicator measuring the popularity of various programming languages in used today. Interestingly Java ranks the top popular language followed by C (not C++) and VB ranks the third.
Gee I never knew there is a programming language called D and some languages such as Ruby and Cold Fusion are rising grounds !
